Judge Joel Baker reading the April 2008 Parkinson's Day Proclamation

On April 7th, 2008, the Commissioner's Court granted and approved April 13th, 2008, as Parkinson's Day and the proclamation was presented to Dr. George Plotkin, Medical Director for the APDA Information & Referral Center, on April 13th, 2008, by Judge Joel Baker at the 1st Annual APDA Walk-a-thon and Fun Run held at Rose Rudman Trail in Tyler.  The proclamation declared April as Parkinson's Awareness month and recognized the work that the APDA Information and Referral has accomplished in bringing about Parkinson's awareness in the East Texas Community.
